One of the key strategies of our business model is to build lasting relationships with a select number of great clients. Seeing our clients prosper will in turn secure our future. We therefore seek to help our clients in some of the areas we are specialists in. The two primary areas where we offer support are; The Recruitment Process and Retention.
Recruitment Process
With our combined experience we have seen thousands of candidates go through the recruitment process, we have seen some clients with excellent processes, some with average processes and way too many with appalling processes. So many ideal candidates, who would be revenue generating assets, slip through the recruitment net due to organisations having poor recruitment processes. Some of the more common issues we come across are;
- The wrong people representing the organisation at interview; creating the wrong first impression
- Decision making bottlenecks that need not be there
- Poor internal communication
- Inexperienced people reviewing CVs
Pegasus runs workshops covering training and assessment that dramatically reduces occurrences of the above issues. Retention
Through our combined experience we have spoken to thousands of candidates. Whilst most organisations simply assume the default driver for people moving jobs is money, we can honestly say our experience shows this is not the case. Whilst money may be a factor at offer stage, it is rarely the catalyst for considering moving jobs in the first place. Much more common drivers for people to move jobs include a lack of progression, boredom, a poor working environment/culture or simply a lack of faith in the direction of their current employer and/or current line manager.
Pegasus offers workshops and consultancy services aimed specifically at middle management. We often find that the philosophy of the senior management is often lost or misinterpreted by middle management and this is often where most retention issues arise.
